The other night I was looking at the guild achievements tab and noticed that we were only 1 profession away from the working as a team achievement. The profession we were missing was blacksmithing and I saw an opportunity to accomplish that achieve as well as help myself in the process.
When I rolled my Death Knight after they first became available I decided to do mining and jewel crafting as his professions. The mining wasn't bad but the JC leveling was to me very time consuming and expensive so i stopped pursuing it and it fell by the way side. It also didn't help that i was spending most of my in-game time on my hunter and my healer and my Frost DK started to collect dust.
It wasn't until I changed from Frost to Blood Spec and learned how to Tank that I started to play him again, but by that time we already had two maxed JCs in the Guild (Tagger and Buk) and there was really was no need for me to level JC anymore. So when I saw that we were only missing a blacksmith for the Guild Achievement, and that i needed one anyway to make plate gear for my Tank, it became obvious what I needed to do.
It took me about 6 hours and over 10,000 Gold to drop JC and level blacksimthing from 0 to 525. I think it was worth it. Time to go sell some more Glyphs on the AH, lol.
